2024 Montana spring bear hunt.

We harvested three bears in MT that week. Did not see a lot of bears, but made it count with three successful stalks. Here is a picture of the boar I harvested. My two boys in the picture also harvested nice bears that week.

We did a 4-day backpack spot and stalk hunt, camped at ~7000 ft and glassed all day waiting for bears to show-up in a high basin (near snow-line) with a mix of open parks and timber. Weather was not great (intermittent snow and rain), but the bears showed-up when the weather cleared.

We hunted the week and saw 2 bears in a week. We hunted the upper third of the mountain, not a lot of scat on the closed roads where we usually see them.
