I watched a few bucks get chased all over the place by some yahoos in an HVAC truck driving thru the walk in access area I was hunting. I waited until sunset and was able to close the distance to 100 yards on the smaller meat buck. I'm happy since I really only had a short evening and next morning to hunt and the local farmer had at least two hundred head of antelope in his field. 1000019205.jpg
It was a hard quartering to shot that went in front of the shoulder and exited the offside behind the ribs. It was a DRT shot that had the other lopes wondering what happened to Bob.

The first hunting experience of my life, and I am hooked. Thank you for all of your advice and support, great folks of Rokslide! (I bagged this antelope near Buffalo/Ucross, Wyoming with my 7mm-08 on October 12th of this year. Three different hunters were after this particular guy for his atypical horns!)
Congrats on an awesome buck and a successful first hunt!

Made a little time to get out last days of the season. Both of my youth kids got their bucks. I passed up over 40 does and small bucks with horns not much bigger than their ears. Hard to notch an A tag on a doe. The bucks have started dropping their horns and knew my time was almost up.
I called a old rancher friend who told me to come down on Saturday and shoot one. I found a buck and the only one in the herd with both horns. Set up on side of the field with tripod and squeezed one off.
After walking up to him one of his sheaths got knocked off when he hit the ground. I popped it back on for pics.
One eye guard was broken off and this old buck was scarred from fighting and had a gash in is leg which looked like a bullet. Was stoked to take a old buck at the end of the season.IMG_1461.JPGP2 11.9.24.JPG
