@AKDoc great hunt for sure and thanks for sharing! What rifle/scope combo/caliber was your son using?
Sorry I didn't respond to your question sooner...I got busy doing other things.

The rifle my son used is the original A-Bolt II that I gave him when he was eleven (his first center-fire rifle). It was originally chambered for 30-06. I had it rebarreled for 338-06 when he graduated from college. In this last year he rebarreled it to a 338 Sherman.

We handload all of our center-fire ammunition. He grew-up helping me. He has his own reloading bench now in his garage and having fun playing around with the new cartridges and dialing them in at the range. He's gotten really good at it and he's an excellent shooter.

Thanks for sharing another great story, AKDoc. Very encouraging and motivational for the most important things in life, with a bonus to tag a nice bull. Looking forward to the next installments!

Thanks for sharing Larry is a stand up guy and if this sled is anything like his PR-49 raft this is a must have.
Agreed. My PR-49HD has many miles of wonderful remote floats as well as several different moose hauls on lake-drops in past years. I also have a Kork, which has even more miles of truly memorable remote Alaska floats. Both rafts are still going strong!! Thank you LB!!
