I have taken a lot of grouse in Saywer county, Chequamegon- Nicolet NF.

It was a hot, short hunt, but it was productive!

Boone's tongue is hanging out no matter the temp, so why not on point! This point happened to be a meadowlark...

With a limit in my vest he worked in and pointed a covey of 8-9. I took my time and worked up slow, enjoying the scene as pup and birds all held steady. Pup is coming along, excited for his 2nd season!

Dog was pooped, but worked well! A public land limit!

Some birds most don't get to see. Bandtail pigeons. Limit is 2. Got out 3 times for our 8 day season.

It's a dickinson estate 20g just with good wood. It's really nothing fancy and has become my grouse brush beater. Love the gun though. It's not popular but has 26 inch barrels.
