How many points did you have? I thought a low tag number meant you drew in the bonus pass, so you should know which hunt you drew if you only had enough points for second choice.

Unless you had enough points for both, then continue suspending…

25 points. 23N first choice and 10 second, early archery. Expecting unit 10 but holding out hope for 23.

I elected the E-tag and I have tag 6. With 10 pts drew my second choice which according to last year’s stats was drawable with 10. My first choice took a few more points last year so I had no chance of drawing it in the bonus point round.

I had 16 points going in this year. Last year in my 2nd choice unit 40% drew with 16 points and my 1st choice unit needed 17. So I actually figured that with even minimal point creep the only chance I would have was in random. I wasn't really counting on this tag, but with tag #7 apparently I squeaked into the bonus pass.

My theory is that with all the chatter this year to burn any Wyoming points maybe people opted to apply there and save AZ points for another year. Who knows, but with so few tags available in the bonus pass, especially for non-residents, it doesn't take many people to change the odds and maybe we saw point creep not be such a factor for a change.

It may be low on the list of Arizona grievances but why oh why doesn’t the random “1-2” come before preference “bonus” pass so that the first choice is actually that? I guess that’s how the intern coded it way back when?? And why don’t the names make any sense.. Confuses the hell out of everyone

There were 20 nonresidents with more points than me before the draw. Maybe next year. I think this year will be hard to beat for horn growth. Hope you get a toad!!!

My first choice had 7 tags in the bonus pass and my second choice had 10.
My portal says I have tag number 7 which tells me nothing that I can figure out.
On pins and needles, and sure wish I had opted in for E-tags before the draw. But either way it turns out, I'm stoked.

Not necessarily I don't think. It could be that all of the bonus pass tags in my first choice unit were taken by people with more points than I had by the time my name came up.

My cc got hit on the 8th for non-res elk, this weekend the website showed pending, except for tag #, which was 140. Around 9:30am this morning it changed to "no tag" under tag #? Any ideas what this means? I am hoping that I don't have a refund coming my way.

Bonus pass looks at both choices for every app in the draw with 1 point or more, then those that didn't draw go into the 1-2 pass (random) along with the zero point applications, and again, both choices are looked at.
