2021 Hoyt

not surprised its 1/2 lb heavier then advertised. I always love it when guys bash the hell out of mathews for being so heavy and come to find out they never even weighed the bow they have. Looking at you carbon hoyt guys. Although for what its worth I still like my rx3. But they need all that rubber to tame them down.

Hey stats online sell bows.

That bow was sold less than 45 minutes from it getting dropped off by the brown truck. Guy never shot it. Held it and said I'll take it. One of the techs didn't even get to see it, he was on lunch for the whole time the bow was at the shop. I just lucked out and showed up at the right time.

Im just intrested in what the fail will be on the bows. Seems that every RX bow has had 1 glaring problem. I remember some of the RX3 the sight plate wasnt level causing the sight to be canted out to the right. I dont remember what the RX4 gotcha was.

The specs on the rx5 ultra look great but no thanks on a carbon bow.

Odd that the ventum 33 has shorter brace and ATA but still the same speed as the rx5 ultra..does it have less aggressive cams?

i am not sure as i didn't shoot the Ventum 33 as it doesn't go out to 32" draw. but that is one reason why i liked the RX5 Ultra the 7in brace height but still the same speed as the Helix Ultra / RX3 Ultra / Axius Ultra / RX4 Ultra. but the RX5 Ultra has a better draw then all of them in my opinion. Hard to do since all of them were fantastic on the draw.

The grip fell off in shipping....

But the sight plate was straight, I checked that. Didn't figure they would botch that again.

I suspect only 4 shim thicknesses might be the downfall.

Probably just me here but when I read reviews about "how smooth the draw" or how "dead in the hand" this bow or that bow is i just picture you all sitting around holding ur wine glasses to the light and discussing the aromatic notes and textures of your favorite reds.

Im just not that refined I guess.

I just got done shooting the carbon Ultra at my draw (31 3/4”) I thought the back wall is pretty superior to my RX1 ultra. The deadness in hand at the shot was also extremely superior to my RX1 Ultra. I also shot the aluminum ultra, the back wall is the same but it’s not anywhere near as dead in the hand at the shot. It’s not bad, but it’s for sure a noticeable difference between the carbon and aluminum.

I did like the mounting holes for the sight being on front of the aluminum riser. Having the sight mounted on the front instead of to the side will help cut down on side cant and balance a little better

I have said for a long time that while shooting a bow at a shop demo about the most you will notice is how dead in the hand one might be, and that's the thing I care the least about.

Now if you have a 20 yard range and put your normal sight, stabilizers and however else you set it up to shoot on then you might be able to tell something.

Have you shot a bunch of different bows? Most of them feel quite a bit different to me. That doesn't mean i'm not a dogpiss archer with all of them though..

Not really. I am left handed. So im just bitter about everyone trying new stuff out I guess.

So is my brother. He gets frustrated alot.

I dont care about dead in the hand either. I do care about sound. More rubber normally tames the noise down on the rx series bows. Interested to see how quiet the rx5 is up against my rx3 with limb dampners and riser dampners and Bomar stops.

I want to know more about this inline sight mount. Is there a pic rail adapter piece to convert current sights? Or is this a whole new deal?

It's a pic rail that is on the front of the bow. I'm not much into it, the claims are more streamlined and better balance. I don't find having weight on one side to be a big deal, gives you something to hold against, otherwise you are holding it two directions. If that makes any sense. Little offset weight to hold against so you are only holding one way, rather than trying to balance both.

Don't know how you will move the sight in and out with the rail, I'm assuming they have something figured out.

Axcel has a sight for it, but I haven't seen it.
