You Sir, sound like a very interesting person. Publishing, different language and and engineer all in one, then you add hunting to the mix.

Well, my best friend of 40+ years used his 8 points on a ML elk tag this year, and then he turned it in so he could go help me on my moose hunt after I drew a moose tag. So this year.........is all about him and his elk hunt. My goal is to do my thing and put him on a giant bull this September.

Hunting goals.

1. Kill a mature public land mule deer
2. Go on my first elk hunt and get within range of one.
3. Take my 4 year old whitetail hunting as much as he'll allow me to.

I put my compound in the case and decided to commit to my recurve, #1 don’t take it back out like I always do.

A lot of little things I’d like to do but a big one to focus on is slowing down and living in the moment. I’m always looking at what I’m doing and the next three steps.

Take my sons (11 & 14) backpacking
Spring bear hunt
More time at the rifle range
First successful elk hunt

After years of learning nothing with school Spanish it seems to be extremely intuitive, much like the learning to read books in English I buy my boys. All the reviews say it works the best. Going to do it for the year and upgraded to the premium for 4.99 a month.
Thanks for mentioning Duolingo! I just downloaded it as I've wanted to improve my Spanish. I took three years in high school but it's one of those things that you lose if you don't use it. Liking the app so far.

I love this. I never do this or write any thing down. Maybe this will help me in achieving what I want or need to do. I’m going to use this thread to keep myself accountable.

Get healthy! After being sidelined with two nagging injuries it make me see how I took my health for granted. Once I can exercise again I’m got to hit it hard. Drink less, eat better.

Get my Daughter in front of a gobbling Tom.

Get my son tied into some large mouths on the fly.

Get the family to the Salt four times.

Shoot more arrows, including getting proficient from the saddle.

Learn the early season behavior of the white tails in my area.

Map out a multi year elk hunting plan with a trip in September.

Get more organized, build more shelf’s and cabinets.

Figure out what I want to be when I grow up.
Thats all

Lose weight and get stronger. I hit 50 few years and it wasn't good.

Get my daughter her first kill

Some vacation time with the fam

Get my boy outdoors more

Already stopped drinking. Wasn't a problem, yet, but it was getting a bit excessive and I have a family history of alcoholics. Plus I didn't need the extra calories. Bourbon money is now hunting money.

I’m on Day 10 and writing new words/phrases in a notebook after each session seems to help.
