Put out my camera yesterday...now I feel like a little kid counting down the days until Christmas. Hopefully there's no one dedicated (or dumb) enough to go back that far and steal it.

Camera was still there...with 39 pictures of nothing on it. I had my delay set to 5 seconds, I think whatever was tripping it moved out of the frame before the shot.

I'm a trail cam noob... haha

That's the worst, happens all the time to me. Something seems to always get set wrong.

Welp I just got furloughed so looks like I'll have plenty of time to check trail cams and hunt mushrooms lol

I wish they would have waiting until the end of September at least!

It’s western Ky I vote to pass butt the other guys won’t let him walk by either.
I'd pass because he's got short tine length. Be especially noticeable once the velvet comes off. I'm guessing 3.5-4.5 as well. Be a good deer if you can convince your buddies to stop shooting the young bucks.

What's the trigger speed? The delay is just the time in between different pics, not the wait before it snaps after the trigger is tripped. Sounds like you need to figure out the travel direction and get it aligned to having them in the frame long enough for the trigger to catch them

Mine is some janky chinese cheapo and the manual says the delay is time between detection and the shutter. I thought it was a little weird too... it was set to 5 seconds. I tested it and i was able to walk out of the frame every time before it took the shot.

I moved it to a different spot parallel to the trail and managed to capture a doe at least.

These guys will be nice next year. Too bad my neighbor stacks em up like cord wood.

Im contemplating letting him pass this season, myself and several whitetail nuts agree that hes 4yr old. i cant imagine what he could be at 5-7

I’d definitely agree that he is 4. Ifthere isn’t pressure from the neighbors I’d let him grow another year. Great buck though!
