On the last morning I had to hunt I had resigned myself to settle for any deer and shoot a "meat buck". First light found my brother and sister-in-law and I a couple miles in and a few hundred feet up in elevation gain, sitting on a ridge glassing. We spotted multiple groups of deer... And then my brother spotted this guy! Props to him for spotting him first. Closed the distance to 346 yards and one shot from the trusty sako .260 did the trick. By far my longest shot and best buck since I got my first deer tag 17 years ago.

Awesome! Can’t go wrong with a Sako .260. Mine always really like the 129 grain SSTs. Absolutely lethal on deer.
Congrats on a dandy.

Thanks! I've been loading 129 gr interlocks. They have preformed very well on my last 2 elk as well as deer.
