Great story. Who is this "Jake?" He sounds hideous.
But really though. I presume he is starting up a guide service? Or just a local friend? In the very early stages of planning a moose hunt myself so was just curious.

Jake Jefferson, Black River Hunting Camps. Not a newb to guiding. He's been at it for about 20 years and has had his own business for, I think, 12 years. He's a great guy, and a lot of fun to hunt with.

This was just the first year he decided to offer moose hunts. Many moons ago, he hunted moose with a previous employer, but didn't offer them when he struck out on his own. His emphasis was on Kodiak bear, goat and deer.
