Not really any acorns in my area but i commonly find the bears tearing up logs and munching on berries. Most years there’s cattle in the valley during the summer but they’re typically moved out by October. At least with a bear tag I’m not tied to one zone, maybe I’ll go check out the B’s.

Right about now? At least in Angeles?... Choke Cherries!!! Right about now they are eating tones of Choke Cherries. You'll see scats which are big piles of just the large pits from those Choke Cherries.

Stuck one yesterday evening, Public land central CA. Going to get the tooth pulled today.

20 yard shot, set up outside of a bedding area and he came out right at sunset. I could tell it was a small bear...but I don’t discriminate! We have too many bears here for me to be picky. Plus it was a blondey which I was excited about.

Shooting PSE decree HD 28in 66lbs gold tip pierce platinum with the new sevr 100gr 2.0. Shot was a pass through and he went 20 yards before piling up and giving out a few death moans! Quickest archerykill I’ve ever had.
