then mountains for a year and a half- so probably while you were in school I was there. then 1/40 RSTA in ak where I got out.

During your dates, the rut will be in gear and finding out if there's elk in your area will be easy. If you don't hear them at night, keep moving until you do. I would plan a scouting trip if you can.

Elk hunting is addictive so be prepared to get hooked and spend all your time and money on your new obsession.
