Am I the only one that's annoyed that First Lite doesn't provide all the information associated with their new 2018 lineup right away? Price point, colors, features, etc? Rather than tease us with what's coming out, provide all the basic info.

I'm sure their professional marketing manager knows how to best keep their products on our minds.

So you're ok with their marketing manager...but the R & D guy needs to be shot because he is not fiscally responsible...

Nevermind...carry on.

I wish I had picked up the boundary stormtight rain pants in a L when I could have, I’m afraid the XL will just be too baggy.

Hey man, me too. I can't tell you how many times I've looked at those XL's and said...just one more Thanksgiving dinner and I'm in!

Still hoping to hear back about small/tall sizes! :)
I was told by First Lite customer service yesterday that there were no intentions of doing Small Talls in the Obsidians or Corrugates at least for this year. Which really stinks. I can't be the only one with long chicken legs lol

Probably the best option at this point is to run a small with Traverse gaiters to protect from the "flood" haha

I'm keen to test out the Corrugate and Catalyst jackets, but also think that there's a place for a re-introduced/re-engineered Chugach ... the original was a little scratchy, but breathed well, was quiet, and held up to brush well.

I saw some research last year that suggested that ungulates can see gray really well, as it has more of a UV signature ... or something! Apparently, along with blue, it really jumps out. For this reason, some of the high-end camos that heavily use gray may actually be a liability; if this is actually true, I can't see solid gray being a good color choice at all. Gray does seem to be the new black for the 'urban camo' crowd, with camo research showing that black is a liability, and some professional units switching away from it ... with manufacturers following this market, and, in turn, marketing it to the non-LEO crowd. However, if the recent ungulate research is right, it doesn't make sense for this to then spill over into the hunting market.

I read that research too and started worrying that all that expensive camo I've bought just makes me glow. But then I realized how much gray naturally occurs in the outdoors - dead wood, rocks, sagebrush, muleys, etc, and how zillions of animals have been taken by hunters wearing Sitka Open Country, KUIU Vias and such. I don't worry any more.

But natural gray isn't pigment gray. Natural gray is really just a form of tan. Many, though perhaps not all, pigment grays utilize a blue pigment in the mix to end up gray. Blue is at that place in the color scale where it reflects ultra violet

Did-not-know-that! That's an interesting colorological factoid.

After reading through the new Sitka stuff thread, I have to say the volume of people and interest in First Life’s new line/happenings is incredible. So many people want their success and continued expansion/betterment. I think it speaks volumes about the good will people have towards First Lite. That’s pretty damn cool in today’s culture.

I haven’t bought any thing New from first Lite this past year, except two pair of red deserts boxers. After two many durability issues and fit issues I am just staying clear till a corner is turned. The boxers durability didn’t inspire any confidence, one is totally trashed and the other is showing holes. Looking forward to seeing the new products this year and hearing some reviews
