Haha, funny, I never even gave it two thought till it was discontinued and had sale prices
I'm sure their professional marketing manager knows how to best keep their products on our minds.Am I the only one that's annoyed that First Lite doesn't provide all the information associated with their new 2018 lineup right away? Price point, colors, features, etc? Rather than tease us with what's coming out, provide all the basic info.

I wish I had picked up the boundary stormtight rain pants in a L when I could have, I’m afraid the XL will just be too baggy.
I was told by First Lite customer service yesterday that there were no intentions of doing Small Talls in the Obsidians or Corrugates at least for this year. Which really stinks. I can't be the only one with long chicken legs lolStill hoping to hear back about small/tall sizes!
I'm keen to test out the Corrugate and Catalyst jackets, but also think that there's a place for a re-introduced/re-engineered Chugach ... the original was a little scratchy, but breathed well, was quiet, and held up to brush well.
I saw some research last year that suggested that ungulates can see gray really well, as it has more of a UV signature ... or something! Apparently, along with blue, it really jumps out. For this reason, some of the high-end camos that heavily use gray may actually be a liability; if this is actually true, I can't see solid gray being a good color choice at all. Gray does seem to be the new black for the 'urban camo' crowd, with camo research showing that black is a liability, and some professional units switching away from it ... with manufacturers following this market, and, in turn, marketing it to the non-LEO crowd. However, if the recent ungulate research is right, it doesn't make sense for this to then spill over into the hunting market.
But natural gray isn't pigment gray. Natural gray is really just a form of tan. Many, though perhaps not all, pigment grays utilize a blue pigment in the mix to end up gray. Blue is at that place in the color scale where it reflects ultra violetI read that research too and started worrying that all that expensive camo I've bought just makes me glow. But then I realized how much gray naturally occurs in the outdoors - dead wood, rocks, sagebrush, muleys, etc, and how zillions of animals have been taken by hunters wearing Sitka Open Country, KUIU Vias and such. I don't worry any more.
Any intent to develop SEAK pants?
