My wonderful fiancé shot this raggie after a seven year stint of not harvesting an elk with a bow.

SW Montana
About 8500ft
Bulls were going absolutely crazy at these higher elevations. You could cow call and challenge them and he came in hot!

Nothing like filling the freezer on the opener to take the pressure off getting a bull! Congrats on the freezer trophy!

My first bull ever. Colorado 100% diy otc public land hunt. First night of the hunt called in a really nice bull to 20 with no shot. Second afternoon we called bedding areas and this one and another bigger bull came to check us out. This one gave me a 40 yrd broadside shot so I let one fly. Went 60 and piled. 3rd year out with 3 buddies and I finally capitalized. Also are 3rd bull in all. 2 weeks left to fill 3 more tags so back to the hills! Good luck everyone

Put my buddy(first time Elk hunter) on this guy 7 AM opening day.

Two days later this girl was looking so tasty I couldn't pass her up… It was hot also, I wasn't trying out for relentless pursuit.

Was after a very big bull for 2 days and had him at 40 yards coming in till a cow saved his life. Shortly after I called in two more bulls and got a shot at the smaller one at 8 yards. I was hunting spot and stalk with very light cow calls about 10,000 feet in a public wilderness area

Idaho

7,000 feet or so.

Cutting them off at the pass!

Way too hot no bugles until the last morning. The smoke was tough but first bull with a bow and I am pumped!
