2016 Sheep Gear Lists

Show em if you got em. I'm outta here in 9 days for 7 solo in the NWT. Just under 64# with a full load of water, just over 55 without it. I dropped a fair bit of food from last year and bagged everything by day to keep myself more organized and make spiking out easier. Switched up to the Outdoorsmans pack this year for the added features over the Kuiu: Bigger pockets, external frame, meat shelf, rifle notch. Extra goodies to stay with the cooler at the lake: extra MH, fry pan, onions, garlic, oil, salt, whiskey.

Do you use both the Spot and the Satellite Phone? Seems like you could shave a little weight with just one or the other. Good list.

That's true but since I'm flying solo it's safer to have both. Especially if I tag out and want to call in for an early pickup.

I also stopped carrying tent stakes since I never ended up using them and those little things can get heavy. Do you find you use them?

One bag four seasons!

My tent is free standing but I need stakes to peg out the fly and I always take spares because I always end up breaking or bending a few. They also come in handy for rigging the tarp.

All the numbers on there are actual weights on my kitchen scale, so yeah, 125g for the Xlite. It's the women's one they sell at MEC. The 'unisex' one is heavier and has a lower r rating, so no brainer to buy the womens version.

Binos are Leupold Mojave 10x42's in a Kuiu harness. What's in that list is everything that's actually in my pack, didn't count binos and hiking poles
