This season has been a blast so far. Started spring bear with a trip to the Blue mountains in Washington to help my good buddy Rob. We saw one bear that weekend, but not the one he was looking for.
I didn't get drawn for Washington spring bear, so I made a couple trips to Idaho. I didn't end up getting a bear, but Aron got one on the first trip, and Brock killed one on the next trip.
A couple weeks ago, my buddy Rob and I hiked into the Blues again to set some trail cameras for my upcoming elk hunt. It might not happen now due to all the fires, but we'll see.
Last weekend, I headed into the back country with my buddies Rob, Paul, and my Brother-in-law Ryan. We hiked in about 7 miles to a nice lake. We only saw one bear, and it wasn't big enough for us, so we let it walk.
My brother and I are on an elk hunt here in WA until September 24th. We haven't notched either of our tags yet, but we've seen a few good bulls, and we're having a great time.
Well, after 20 strait days of elk hunting, my brother and I are both tagged out! I shot my bull on Monday, and he got his on Wednesday. We are super stoked with the bulls we got.
