Well didnt take long for another year to go by.
I was lucky enough to pack quite a bit in,hunting here in NZ,a season in North BC and gt to chase some Elk in Colorado.
You cant win them all but heres a few of the critters I got to see up close

Started the year well with my best Chamois to date, 9 6/8ths with the bow in early January

February saw me chasing Chamois again and got see my wife Mirella shoot her 2nd Chamois with the bow

Heres a few more pics of the Chamois hunt with Mirella, bit of a steep climb but worth it, some unseasonable snow(Feb Is summer here) made for some amazing scenery.

March. The start of Roar for the red stags. Highlight of the month was probably watching a client take his first big game animal. A nice 8-10 year old mountain Stag.

There is a step-by-step procedure for posting photos located in the Classified Rules forum as a 'Sticky'. The photos should show up larger by using these steps.

Now we are cooking with Gas!
this what helped me http://www.rokslide.com/forums/show...ur-PC-Tutorial!-(No-PhotoBucket-needed)/page2

Best not forget this nice 12 point Stag my mum got near the end of the roar aswell!

Any ways, April saw me up in Tahr country chasing these beasts about before the rut starts in May, also bumped into a couple of Chamois!

Heres an ancient Chamois buck with both horns lost to 'horn rot'. I was very keen on shooting him but I never put a stalk on him in the end. This is one of the largest bodied Chamois I have seen.

Big Bulls to come!

Thanks guys, Bow hunting Chamois is my favorite hunt. Still after the 10" buck but I know hes not far away, had alot of close calls with monster Chamois. Fingers crossed for 2016!

Heres some highlights of an 8 day trip with some virgin mountain hunting Danes. Was a typical west coast trip, amazing scenery, some rain and of course Chamois and Tahr.

A beauty Whio or Blue Duck just down the creek from one of our camps, only about 2000 of these guys in the World. Neat to see.

A Typical 9" Chamois in typical coast weather, low cloud and wet.

A stomper old Bull Tahr, Huge body but an undershot jaw and missing teeth left him with very heavy but short Horns.

More to come. I have an exceptionally slow internet but will get there haha

Some beautiful country. Steep and rugged looking mountains. The typical 9" Chamois is a great photo. I'm not sure what kept him on the hill though. Thanks for sharing your hunt.

Those are great pics, congrats. One of my dream hunts is Chamois and Tahr. Thanks for posting, as it keeps me motivated to find a way to make it happen!

May

Well May saw us again up in Tahr country for the early phases of the rut. my brother came along on his first real Tahr hunt and bagged himself a monster 13 1/2" bull. Not bad for a first Bull Tahr!

Well I think I had most of June off hunting wise and then July saw me heading north...way north. about 12 000kms/7500miles to northern BC for a season with Golden bear. After abit of tidying around the camps and some scouting for goats I was lucky enough to tag along on a Stones Sheep hunt. Was a great experience and for someone like me (and most of us that cant afford 40-50k for a hunt) it is as close to hunting one as I can get.

Sheep hunt

We saw alot of sheep over the hunt but had a hard time finding mature rams, we covered alot of of awesome country and moved about a fair bit. We ending up splitting up, Blake the head guide taking the hunters to a new area and killed a nice ram. while I looked over some over rams they had found with the plane.

We found these off a winter kill ram(we assume) on a glacier. pretty cool to see some horns up close! alot bigger and heavier than I had imagined.
