Well I just returned from the gorgeous Arizona weather and its currently pissing down rain here in Washington so I thought id recap the event. Last year I competed in the individual Mens Open. It was a great time but this year I wanted to try something different. I teamed up with Tyler Boschma and it was a success. We work together really well. There was 5 teams and around 40 competitors total.

3D shoot. I shot an 86/100. Tyler shot 73/100 After we added our scores we were in 3rd.

Meat pack. Tyler & I loaded up 80lbs each and took off on the 1.33 miles course through the desert. We finished around 15:50 and were ahead of 2nd place by 1:43. Giving us enough points to take over the lead. Duplex frame with the AMR made the weight a breeze. We jogged the whole thing except through the sand in the washes and any steep short hills

With a small lead going into Sunday we knew we had to be on our game. It was going to be decided on the challenge course. We were Heat #1. We arrived to the 1st target slightly ahead of the other teams. We shot two 10's and started our exercise. We slowly grew our lead over the 1.5 miles course and finished strong. With a time of 19 minutes we anticipated what our adjusted time would be after scoring our shots. 15:34 was the end result.

We were taking home the Gold!

I have to give a huge shout out to Jon Troxell (Jonboy) for the pictures. He is one skilled individual with a camera and I was glad he made the trip down to hang out and take pictures. I also want to thank Aron for the support from Kifaru packs. They are supporter of Train to Hunt and its a great partnership. Some people on this site are doubters of this event but Aron sees the potential.

Congrats to both of you and all the other competitors that came and left everything on the coarse!!!!!!

Great Job Brockly! What is there to doubt? I have always thought TTH was a great idea. Great people with a common goal, fitness. Rokslide is 100% behind Kenton and the TTH crew.

Thanks Ryan! And a big thanks to you and Robby for the platform to post content. The "official TTH rokslide 3D score cards" look sweet!

Congrats man! Thanks for the write up. That's a pretty cool event we have here in AZ. Hope to make it out there sometime if not to participate, at least support those who do.

Great job guys. Looks like you guys had a blast. Makes me realize I still have a lot of work to do before N. Idaho in June. Thanks for the motivation!

Tyler is a cool cat, good guy all around.

Nice work you two!

If you find some spare time between all this training, you should go bear and turkey hunting :)

Thanks Nick,

As a matter of fact, I am headed to Idaho for a bear hunt ;-)

Brock are you coming down to help Kenton with the Oregon TTH again this year? My main goal for this year is to improve from my performance last year.
