Im cashing in a 2013 Elite Pure. Hear great Reviews on the energy but my local shop is really giving me a big discount on Their 2013 Elite. And I love the Pure.

I just posted my 2014 Bowtech Carbon Knight Photos. Just bought it today. Its shipping out in the AM. Amazing Bow. 3.2 lbs.
That was a short love affair...

I want to get my daughter a new bow. She has a mission craze and it is a great bow except for the back wall if you could even call it a wall. Any new ladies bows coming out? If not I think the bowtech heartbreaker will be her new setup.

I heard from a reliable source that Hoyt will have a new lightweight speedbow at around 3.5 pounds and shooting 350 fps

Didn't a "reliable source" tell you bowtech was releasing the fastest bow in the world at last years ATA? Same source?

never been to the ATA. I am disappointed with the Bowtechs of the last couple years. i'll stick with my D350 for now. this bow shoots lights out! and kills shit. guess we'll see how reliable of a source he is ;)

yes and love them both. one a 2010 and the other a 2011. I have over 40,000 shots on the camo 2010 bow and under 3000 on my 2011 black ops bow. both are set up identical so it's like shooting the same bow. I just can't seem to put my primary bow down long enough to shoot the other one. it has sentimental value with 4 elk and 2 deer and all going 30 yards or less after the shot.

You must forget pse's are made right in Arizona in the USA.

With the issues described with the pses, I haven't had 1 issue with my DNA. I don't see how those mods move. My DNA has been flawless. I don't see where these issues come from unless you don't check your bow or tighten the screws down for the mods tight enough. And no loctite here.

I have never been a fan of the DNA. There is no valley in the draw cycle and it is hard to hold for a long time at full draw due to very little letoff. It also is a 6" brace height which makes it not as forgiving. My buddy owned one and said it was a nightmare to tune because it was so fast. I guess it is about preference but it seems to me that the DNA is more about speed than ease of use or accuracy. Just my opinion.

Well its official afte rthe release of the Hoyt catalog, bow no longer look like bows. I'm kind of disappointed and for that reason will be sticking with my trusty '08 Katera.

These things look like a vertically shot crossbow with the beyond parallel limbs.

But many wished were granted in a carbon riser speed bow...here soon a guy won't need a rangefinder a 3 pin sight will be all you need to 80. Bowhunting seems to be heading the way of the long range rifle game, if I can shoot it from afar why work and get close.

Funny, that's what they said about tha Katera back in 2008... and actually the bows haven't really picked up much speed since then - pretty sure the Katera was advertised at about 330 fps. There's a practical limit to the speed game, a bow can only store so much energy for a given draw length and draw weight. They're already maxed out unless some radically new technology arrives to redefine archery so don't go selling your rangefinder... you're going to need it - forever.

I agree with Coop!

The Katera has the same speed rating at the new Carbon Spyder, so the thought about dropping the need of a range finder is moot.

Even a 350 IBO bow drops over 11" from 20 to 40. Still need a rangefinder.

Most definitely need a rangefinder for long range rifle hunting.

Yep Yep!!! Z3 cam Katera 330 fps and 6" brace height...still have mine!!! But at 4.4 lbs I'll shave the weight. Dont get me wrong I shoot my Katera well but my Matrix (327 fps ATA) and a 6 3/4" Brace and 35" ATA I'm lighter, longer, more forgiving, and I shoot it even better. A just because you CAN shoot longer distances doesn't mean I want to!!! I can drop a deer at 113 yds but I'd MUCH rather get inside 50 for sure and inside 30 even better!!! And I use a 3 pin adjustable :) and a rangefinder.

Katera looks a little more like a X-bow to me than anything in the 2014 line...personal preference.
