where did the first arrow go? that much blood and the bull bedding that fast makes me think the first shot was better than brisket?

Thanks man, better to be lucky than good, poor execution on my end..
First shot hit where the neck and body connect. Very glad to be shooting fixed blade BH and 540 grain arrow.

it happens. it can't be textbook every time.... lots of factors to deal with in a hurry, with us being one of those factors. you got the bull, and it ended pretty quick regardless.... you made the right decisions and was able to finish what you started.... that's all that we can ask for.

Congrats and great story! How many trips did it take to pack him out?

We broke him down that night and packed the quarters about .5 miles away from the carcass. I came in the next day solo, four trips, he was back in the truck.
