2 person tent recommendations? Help!

I really don’t like non free standing tents. People say they’ll hold up in whatever weather but just never sleep good knowing it’s only stakes holding my shelter done. I’ve done the tarp thing and another 1.5lbs is so worth it for the comfort.

For what you want, I recommend the copper spur 2p and buy the hotel vestibule if you want more people. I bought the foot print which has spots for the poles to go into and you can run the big hotel vestibule 1/2 floor less. Kind of like a helliberg but cheaper. Enough room for 2 guys and a stove or 3 without

Kelty Late Start 2P - Lightweight... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ML4F9HR?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I have this one and you would be hard pressed to complain about it.

As others have mentioned, small quarters for two dudes. But I spent a couple of nights around 0 & 10 degrees. Frankly, at those temps your pad, your sleeping bag, and other details keep you warm. Could have just as easily slept outside with my sleep system.

It’s a touch heavy at 3.5lbs BUT it’s $150.

I have been looking trekking pole tents for solo hunting, which will happen because I made my own tarp tent for July-August when it matters less.
