2 person tent recommendations? Help!

REI Half Dome 2+, myself my girlfriend and both fit comfortably and I am 6'6 and 250 pounds (my feet do hit the end but no biggie, learn to live with it at this height).. Not the lightest but could do worse for $300.

I went with the Cooper Spur HVUL2. Honestly not sure I would want to share it with anyone, not even my wife lol. It would be doable but you’ll smell each other all night long.

I kind of wish I went with the heavier duty Kuiu offerings.

This next week both the Ba and Kuiu will be on steep discounts.

Excellent time to shop for a tent, considering REI is having their big labor day sale going on right now. I use a 3 person Big Agnes Copper Spur.

My brother bought a Tigerwall 3P from Big Agnes. It is lighter than copper spur bc it is not freestanding - u must stake down the foot to erect it. Kinda sucks if u have to move it around... but a good tent at that price and weight. I love my copper spur 1 but not what u are looking for

Copper spurs are way too fragile for me.
I would not want to have serious winds or weather in one.
Have had Nemo’s and msr hubbas and they’re better than copper spurs and currently have a mountain star 2.
Its the toughest or them all so far but wish it was a little longer.

For anything the Big Agnes Copper Spur will do you can add the Nemo Hornet to the same list.
Although I much prefer the great many tipi tent options all other things being equal

I’ve rocked a Nemo Dagger 2p for years without a problem, been in big winds (guyed down to the max) and it’s been great. The vertical walls and the huge vestibules make it feel pretty roomy for a two person tent.

I went with a Tarptent Triple Rainbow

others Id look at are Slingfin or a Durston X-mid 2 if you are ok with trekking pole tents
I've been eyeballing the Durston X-Mid 2. It seems like the perfect ultralight backpacking tent for me and the Mrs. I'm 6'2" with decently wide shoulders so something with steep sides, a little extra leg room, and wide enough for two 25" sleeping pads is pretty necessary for me. Most tents that give you the extra length and width are way heavier than their standard-size alternatives, but this seems like it might be my Goldilocks tent.
