I literally have two hours of hunting on Monday mornings because of my new work schedule so I have to make them count. Last week I missed a spike at 20 and 30 yards and was completely disgusted with myself. This week the same spike comes in I draw back and this guy comes in to range. After staring each other down and letting go and re drawing he gave me a perfect quartering away shot at 25 yards. Went about 100 yards after the shot but left an amazing blood trail.

Thanks guys. He wasn't broke off he just had a short 4th on that side. It could have been damaged in velvet but I think it more of a genetics flaw. I've got pics of a buck a year older than him and he looks almost identical only add 15" of time length or so to him.
