Set cameras a month ago or so, and finally got up the mountain to check them. Last year I had 4-6 bulls on camera in here. This year there was a string of 9 or 10 came thru in a single file. The big one from last year is alive and in these pics.
As I was hiking out, I caught a good long look at the big guy barely in velvet. Last year he was a 380-390 bull. He seems the same again this year. Such a huge whale tale.
These pics are a month ago but they are becoming decent bulls. Wish I could hunt it again this year- but all I can get is an OTC spike tag, which is ok, one of these appears to be a legal spike.

It also has a few cows which is good as I drew a Cow tag for here as well.elk group 4.jpgelk group 2.jpgelk group 3.jpgelk group 1.jpg

Its up the mountain west of lost lake just above hidden valley on trail no name.
Funny part is I am heading to Id for my bull this year.

Some real potential for sure!

Yep this area holds decent bulls. I took a 360 bull out of here last year in Archery season. There were 2 bigger ones, but hey, it was archery season and I wasn't going to pass up the chance- they come few and far in between.

Sad part is I see helicopters and planes as well as drones scouting these areas regularly.
:(
