WTS 1959 Browning Auto-5 Light 12

I have a 1959 Browning Auto-5 Light Twelve, made in Belgium, vented rib, gold trigger for sale. The metal is in great shape, there is a little bit of field use visible in the stock. Just some minor dents in the wood, nothing major. Barrel measures 27.5" to the bolt face, marked "** Special Steel" Modified choke. Looking for $900, let me know if you’re interested.

Guess I'm curious- is that the original barrel? I didn't think steel shot existed in 1959.

You know what, I misquoted the barrel. It just says “Special Steel.” Just my brain added the word shot, since I was thinking about choke tubes. I added a picture of the stamp on the barrel.

Just a side note. In the 80s when we got forced into steel shot there were a lot of warnings of steel on these barrels.

I shot 3" mag, full choke with the old shot and with steel shot for the last 40 years. I haven't seen any change. Possible with the lighter barrels but I don't have any knowlege. The A-5s have been very good to me since my 16th birthday.
