18in 6.5prc / 6.5-284 velocities?

I’m deciding what length to cut down a 6.5-284 barrel. Those of you that have 18in barrels what velocities are you getting with what bullet?

I’m hoping I can get 2700-2800 fps with a 145 eldx at 18in.

My 18” 6.5 creed shoots 147 eldms at 2650. You’ll easily get near 2800 with a PRC.

18” 6.5 prc, 124 hammer hunter, retumbo powder and a full case, got a node at 2905fps.

Factory 143eldx were just over 2700fps if I remember right. I could see 2800 with the right powder.

It will all depend on what boot you wear. Should be good if you wear Crispis. Crocs won’t get you there.
