I like as many things as possible to run the same batteries. I have all AA now but I was going to upgrade my headlamp to a zebra light with 18650, so I would like upgrade my flashlight as well. Any suggestions would be great.

I bought a NiteCore P12 a few months ago and I really like it.

4 different brightness levels - 1 lumen, 70 lumens, 240 lumens, and 1000 lumens, and it has impressive battery life.

I don't know if all lights are this way, but the NiteCore can use an 18650 or (2) CR123s, which is nice if you don't have a place to recharge your battery.

I don't have a Fenix with this battery type but I've been pretty impressed with my fenix lights so they are probably worth checking out as well.

There are a pile of good 18650 flashlights. I just can't bring myself to buy a cheap one. Generally when I need a light, I need a light.

Couple brands I have owned and liked

Nitecore
Zebralight
ThruNite
Fenix
Olight
Eagletac

Yes, I have a problem!

Are you just wanting a flashlight for handheld use, or do you intend to use it setup on a rifle or something for hunting? If you need a pencil beam LED, I've had absolutely 100% success with the Kill Light XLR250. I've hunted down to -44ºF with the light and it's performed. When it gets cold, many of the LED light switches/tail caps fail or cause flickering. I wasn't sure exactly what you needed to use the light for, so figured I'd ask and tell you what's worked for me. 18650 LED headlamps and flashlights are all I use anymore.

Look at the ArmyTek flashlights and headlamps. 10 year warranty, cheaper than the others.

I have a couple of their flashlights and an 18650 headlamp.

great stuff
