Finally joined the forum, have been a part of many others in the past. Glad to be a part of it.

I’m having trouble with my 7PRC shooting 180 hybrids. I loaded up several today and accuracy was 1.25-1.5”+. It’s all over the place. Went back to Hornday factory ELDMs and it shot .5” no problem like usual. Load specs below:

-ADG Brass
-66.5 to 69 gr Retumbo
-180 hybrids
-3.34” COAL.

At 3.34” it is jumping a ways…I seated a few at 3.37 but that certainly did not help.

Gun is custom built…22” proof barrel, Definace action…etc. 100 rounds down the tube total.

I know guns are certainly temperamental at times…but to shoot .5” groups with factory ELDMs and then blow up to 1.5”+ with a Berger seems like I’m missing something big. I’ve shot Bergers a decent amount and have always been impressed by them…just seems like I’m missing something here. Any thoughts?

My 7 PRC did not like
Retumbo, 64.5 gr H4831SC, CCI 250 loaded long, CBTo 2.560 on ADG brass shot one hole groups.
I’d change powder first, as usual proceed with caution as all rifles are not the same

I don’t have a PRC but recently got a saum and it shoots the 180’s really well, I’ve tried 2&3 thou off the lands and both shot great. Try seating some .002 off the lands and see if that gets you anywhere. I’ve always had luck shooting bergers close to touching
