Killed a water buffalo with a 178 gr ELD-X. One shot in the lungs and another from the front to dissuade a charge. The SOB died fairly quickly and is on my wall. But according to some wise men, it was two bullet failures since there were no exit wounds.
Killed a pile of hogs with 143 gr ELD-X and 178 gr ELD-X bullets. Shot one hog and it dropped on the spot but about 30 seconds later it got up and ran off. Checked the impact spot out a bit later and most of the internal organs were on the ground. Somehow the bastard got up and ran a short distance before realizing he was dead. But according to some some wise men, they'd probably say that too was a bullet failure.
Sometimes poop happens and no matter what bullet you use, it still won't immediately change an animal's will to live.
