UR just posted a video of short vs long barrel .308 the other day. Great episode and I recommend ya'll with .308 check it out.If that’s to me asking for the link, then please show me a screenshot of “long barrel 308 test” in Google showing a link to the 1990’s study by the US military that I asked about.
I'm getting my 22" Ruger American cut down to 16.25" and threaded so its ready when my can gets out of jail. I'm going to start with Form's easy button .308 load of 44-45 grains of Varget and 168 ELDM. Other bullets in the 165-175 range work as well. If no pressure sigs in my Ruger, I'm going to bump to 46 and check velocity/groups.
I was also going to spring for a Timney trigger, but after watching guys replace the Ruger trigger spring in 5 minutes with a Mcarbo aftermarket for $13, I'm going to try it first. Factory Ruger accutrigger sucks a$$ compared to my Tikka OEM.
