16” 7SAUM

Good day all, should I do a 16” or a 18” 7SAUM. I would like to get around 2700-2850 with the 162ELDX. I am also running a suppressor and want to keep the overall package short. I don’t plan on running a heavier bullet as I have a 22” 7PRC for that. But I have like 800 162ELDX bullets “got them on a real good deal”. If you have any load development with that short of a barrel and that class bullet please share. Thank you everyone for helping me out on this decision!

You should be good with a 16" assuming you hand load. I'm getting 2900 with 160's in my long action 18" after it sped up recently. ADG brass, br2, and 60gr of n555 or 59.5gr of rl16

Well that’s good news I might run the 16” then. Those are some serious fast speeds out of an 18” barrel.
