15x56 and a Grid Spotter?

I just purchased the new 15x56 Swarovski binos and was thinking about getting a grid spotter to go along with them, to mount up on my slik 624 tripod. Does anybody have any experience with this system or the grid spotter glassing technique?

Jumping in on the thread as I'd like to know how much weight they add over a pan head?

The grid spotter is 12 oz and the vanguard ph 111 v head is 14 oz. so I would actually save a couple oz, But I don't see myself packing my 15's on a hunt that im concerned with weight. I would just pack my 10x42's and spotter on a backpack hunt. I was looking at this system strictly for glassing mule deer on day hunts or close to the pickup.
