New boots - have 3 pairs that are all worn out.
Clean out the gun case and get rid of a bunch of rifles I don't use.
Finish a new self-bow for hunting with this fall.

The nice thing about these types of threads is if I'm thinking about trying something, good bet someone on here already has it and can comment.

I'm changing a few things I'll try out during spring bear and summer scouting.

- new bins and a tripod is my biggest and most important upgrade, still debating that. Outdoorsman micro head with a compact med tripod plannned, with ? on top.....
- Kuiu Yukon gaiters (I still like the low sitka ones for fall archery more, but nice to have the big ones for loads of stream crossings).
- LA Sportiva boulder x mid boots, giving the light alpine boot style a go.
- trying out a tall pair of the Kuiu ultra merino socks.
- Stone Glacier's meat bag. I somehow ripped my kifaru meat baggie last year. The sg one is flatter and should help with the frame barreling. Also trying out their access bag and camp pocket on my Solo pack. I'm going to check out and load the new mystery ranch setup next week.....if there's a large comfort difference I may go back to their setup.
- Planning on a Kuiu superdown jacket for longer backpack trips.
- Planing on Kifaru sheep tarp - got stuck in a huge storm last year..plus a bigger tent awning would be nice sometimes.
- Caribou gear bags: getting smaller ones for boned meat, the quarter size ones are giant.......
- got that tiny petzk e+ headlamp for backup.
- rain pants: solid kuiu chugach
- Heathers choice meals - love these.
- for rolling solo, a Tarptent is on my short list.
- Sitka ballistic vest for spring bear
- Finally, got some diaphragms and a bigger bugle tube for elk.

Another interesting thing to me is what really isn't worth changing (mostly for weight saving) or doesn't need changed:
- hille anjan 2 for 2 people trips
- jetboil
- trek poles
- bow setup
- Kuiu binoculars harness
- clothing system: kuiu merino, Pelton 240 hoody, chugach jacket, alpine pants, guide and merino gloves, sitka merino beanie.
- neoair pad with sierra designs backcountry quilt.
- sawyer mini filter, vapor and platty bags.
- mtn ops Enduro: love this stuff.
