My experience getting it to work: You must go to ActiveJunky first, click through to the site you're ordering from, navigate to the product(s), add them to your cart and check out in that order. Don't have things already in your cart, or if I go there first, I empty the cart, close browser windows, and start over.

I too have found that to be the most fool proof, I also make sure I am logged in to the merchant site before clicking back through to it from Active Junky.
