130’s in a 6.5prc?

6.5 RPC: Reloading 130 grain Terminal Ascent 3050 fps. .6 MOA
6.5 PRC: 125 grain Hammer HHT. Just received them yesterday. Expected velocity 3150-3250 fps. *I have shot Hammers before (30 cal) and they were the most accurate hunting bullet I have ever used AND very easy to reload.
6.5 PRC: Factory 127 grain LRX. My gun didn't like them > 2-2.5" group. I have 11 rounds I want to get rid of. Near Boise?

North of the border, couldn’t take em if I wanted too lol

I’m shooting 140 grain Accubonds at 3000 fps. That’ll get me way farther than I want to shoot an animal before the velocity drops below performance levels.

Have tried about everything out there and feel the 156 Berger is the best available. 147 ELDM a close second. I don't like what the wind does to the lighter bullets and the 156s are devastating from hogs to elk.

How fast are the 130s going?
The 147s verified at 2750 from my 22” ibi barrel. I have a bunch of H1000 on hand, I would think something around 3050 with the tmk should be attainable?
Mine aren’t that fast. I’ll have to go look at my notes .. and every time I shot them I had chrono issues. Hope to fix that with my new Athlon. But out of my 20” barrel with 58ish grains on n565 I think the 130 tmks were 2850-2900 ish … the factory federal fusion 140 tipped were 2900 out of it

Bought a Tikka ace game in 6.5 prc right before deer season. First load of 135 bergers flew into .2 of an inch. It's slow, but deer don't have a chrono... 56.7 of retumbo, fed 210, berger 135 hh. 2725 i think.

Wow that’s really slow. My 6.5CM is launching the 130tmk at 2750 out of a suppressed 16” barrel.

Agree 156 at 2900 is bad news for everything ive sent them at

i tried the 130 cx bullets, they printed well but the 156 berger ended up being my go to projectile. if i were in a lead free area id probably go cx though, they seemed to foul my bore a lot less than the barnes fare and you can get some impressive velocities from them

I agree it was slow, but ill take the tiny over fast. And the barrel was very new, like first 20 down the pipe. I haven't re-checked it, what's it take, about 100 to speed up?
Depends on the rifle. Mine sped up through 135 rounds. Had been consistent over the last 100 rounds since. My son's hit full speed at around 75 and no change after through 150ish rounds. I'm getting 2930 average with 156 Bergers. 24" barrel.

My load was 56.7 of retumbo, 135 berger hh.
By all means a starter load. Going to work up some 142 sierra mkx's here soon. Trying to get a high bc coyote bomb concocted.
