For anyone that loads this, you mind sharing the load and barrel length?


I’m hoping I can get to approx 2685fps with an 18” tikka barrel so I can stay with the quick drop mill trick of yard minus 2 = drop in mills

you should be pretty close if not there. 18" tikka barrel, alpha brass, 41.5 gr h4350 and the 140 eld is getting me 2628. i didn't chrono the 130 tmks when i tried those.

Actually i was looking at the wrong data. It is 2954 fps, 43 grain h4350 new starline brass, cci #34. That might be loaded hot so work your way up.

okay that sounds about right, I need to jump on making a load I have 300 of those tmk's sitting on the shelf.

I have not shot them after developing the load. I use the 143 ELDX and have been happy with those.

Roger, I loaded them for a 6.5x55 swede and had really good results, but then have only been shooting the ELDM in my creedmoor. And they have been so good I haven't wanted to try anything else yet.

Don’t sleep on either stabil 6.5 or Varget. I get great SD and ES with both around 2,800. Stabil 6.5 loaded is 43,5 grains. Live the TMK’s are super accurate, load easy are wicked on animals.

Have you guys done any seating depth testing? I just loaded one group at a COAL of 2.770 and one at 2.815 and it liked the 2.815 better. I think this combo can still do better tho.

Brand new barrel with less than 100 shots. Buddy had a factory 24" with a suppressor and we had the exact same speeds with my ammo. Im thinking my new barrel is pretty fast.

I’m surprised at that speed too, in my Tikka 24 inch barrel I am running the same charge with 147s and only at 2675
