Has anyone here tried the Hornady 123 eld-m in 6.5 creedmoor? Any results on game? Any load recommendations?

Just looking at the numbers on paper, it seems like this combo will perform similar to a 6mm creedmoor. Light recoil, G1 BC around .5, and about 3000 fps muzzle velocity. Looks like a winning combo, especially to boost velocity in a shorter barreled rifle.

But what does real world experience say?

Yes, we shot a few deer with those and the 123 SST out of creedmoors.

All of these were does, the SST gave better penetration (full pass throughs), but - both performed well at traditional hunting ranges.

We used a 123 eldm in a 6.5 Grendel last season. Complete pass thru. Shouldn’t be much of an issue in a creedmoor. Velocity was around 2350

I’m taking 123 ELDM’s for an Auodad hunt. I don’t plan on shooting past 400 yards.

The 123s eldms is what I load for my kids 6.5 creed. Have shot pigs and a bunch of deer with no problems. Shooting them about 2960 FPS. But not pushing them very hard. Hès shot two does over 350, dropped one and the other ran about 40 yards. He shot a 220 lb pig at 230 yards and he ran about 50 yards before expiring.
