I was gifted a box of 6.5 mm 120 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips. I decided to load them up for my 20” barrel 6.5 Creedmoor Tikka CTR. They performed well and is a light kicker. Spotting shots was easy. I’m at 1000 lbs KE out to 525 and 1800 FPS out to 600 yards.

Will make a great whitetail bullet shooting suppressed.

Tikka 6.5 Creedmoor CTR 20” barrel
Nosler 120 grain BT
48.5 grains Superformance Powder
Lapua Brass
CCI BR-2 primers
2.268 CBTO (twenty thou off lands)

I was fighting a bit of mirage off the barrel cause of heat and time crunch.

Is the expansion on a BT similar to a ELD-X at high velocity?
I was wondering what the terminal performance is like of a 140gr BT compared to a 142 Accubond LR?
mostly because I cant seem to get a Accubond LR to group well in most of my rifles.
