112 Barnes matchburner

For those of you that have hunted with the 112 Barnes matchburner, are you doing anything to them before using. When I use hybrid targets I be sure to run a small bit in the then to remove any polishing compound but these 112s have a very small meplat. Is anyone opening them up? What has been your experience if you have, is it needed for terminal performance.

I’m pretty sure I remember reading you have used a the matchburners, did you do any alterations before hunting with them. Any reason why a guy should t use them? Have you found other bullets to work better? Will prolly try the 116 when I can get my hands on some

I did nothing to them. They shot well and killed well. Never had a need to use anything else. They’re my very good backup option to the 116 TMK’s as well.
