I haven’t used them personally, but I think the consensus is the Maven C1’s in that range.

Maven, had the C1s for like a year and half, get em wile their on sale, they shoot above their price.

I have a like new pair of Athlon Midas HD 8x42 that I'd sell for $200. It comes with box and everything when new, and they're not very old anyway. These compare very favorably to the Vortex Viper HD.
