After more than 50 years of hunting and 10 years of hunting PA bears I harvested one the last day of the PA season at 1035 yards. Wasn't real big around 185# live according to the Game Commission. But I was happy.

Dog breed Carnivore Felidae Flooring Floor

Great job. I chased one up in the Allegheny back in 2014 but never did put it on the ground. Tough animals to hunt.

Beautiful bear.. they are tuff to hunt. Congrats on your harvest.. I hoe you kept every oz of meat… it is the best meat I’ve ever eaten..

That sir is an awesome achievement. I've been hunting Pa for over 40 years and seen exactly 3 bears, none when the season was open. Not many are lucky enough to harvest a Pa bear and even fewer are able to make a well-placed shot at that yardage.

Nice shot on the bear!

Just curious why it’s a left hand twist? Aren’t riflings usually right twist?

Most are righthand twist but I've been trying different things and so far left gain twist has to me proved to be the most accurate combination.
