I can't seem to find this answer anywhere on here or the internet, but say you have a 16" .308 zeroed at 100yds with supersonic ammo (150gr Trophy Copper), how low will the POI be with subs at 50 yds if they are traveling 990fps at the muzzle. Will it even be close or not worth trying to use the same gun for both? Obviously I could figure this out at the range next time I go but that will probably be a while from now. I can shoot subs suppressed at my house but not supers and I don't have a gun zeroed at 100yds with supers that I also have subs for. There is a gun I found that I'm considering buying for exclusively subs which is why I ask. It would be cool to use one gun and just know the holdover but it may be too much.

Find your speed for your normal load and punch all of your info above into hornadys app or AB quantam and a very very accurate answer out too your desired range will pop up!

Thats how I do it because I ask myself questions like this 24/7

How do you figure the two zeros? Because AB gives dialing based on being zeroed for the round in question.

The best I can come up with is look at the drop.

The difference in drop is pretty large, with a subsonic being -6.53" (4~ MRAD) at 50 yards (985 fps, 175 gr eldm) and -4.37" (1.5~ MRAD) at 100 yards for 2600 fps. So my guess is a difference of 2.5~ MRAD between the two zeros.

A 200 yard zero for the super should be getting close at -13.11" drop.
