10 points Wyoming pronghorn

Especially if you have the in to hunt massive expanses of private land to hunt....
Didn't when I took it, I paid a trespass fee to the rancher like everyone else he lets hunt.
Book bucks can be found all over the state, just have to be patient and look them over closely.
We hunt public land mostly for antelope, very little private access for those.
My 80" buck came from public lands, no private access for it.

It would take another 2-3 years of good winters before I would want to burn double digit points on a Pronghorn there. I hunted the red desert in 22 before the bad winter and they were still recovering from the bad winter in 2019. 2022 nearly wiped them out in certain places. I drove through the red desert in 2023 and it was almost devoid of pronghorn compared to fall 2022.

I hunted adjacent to the red desert this year on a lucky random draw and there was basically no age class above 2 years. The numbers were improving but the age class was awful. You need a good number of 3+ year old bucks to turn up something special otherwise it’s just the low effort motorized way to kill another 12-13” buck.
