Anyone know were to find a throating reamer that is 0.2438 or 0.2440 diameter. Everything I can find is bigger or smaller.

If that doesn't exist, would it be easy to order a custom throater and what company; PTG, Manson, Clymer, someone else? I'm guessing just call them?

I'm pretty sure I have a tight throat on my 6 Creed and after some reading want a looser throat than SAAMI Creedmoor spec, but tighter than SAAMI 243 spec.

I figure a throater will be more useful for fixing any future 6mm issues, I would already put it to work lengthening my 243 throat and I'm not convinced my 6mm will stay a Creedmoor, so don't want to by a custom Creedmoor finish reamer.

Of course, perhaps it is a tight neck and not the throat, or both. But a neck and throat reamer sounds easier to screw things up with.

Some reading if anyone wants to know what I'm basing my desired specs on.

Saami is 2435, when I order a reamer, I always go with a freebore diameter 0.0015 over bullet diameter. So 6cm would get a 2445 freebore ID. My smith does that same with all his throaters.

Believe he gets them all from JGS.

Carbon is hard as F, it'll dull/damage high speed steel. If you're wanting to mainly use it for carbon removal, go carbide!
