    Don't underestimate old guy strength

He looks better now than he did 30+ years ago! Old man strength is no joke. Just like farmer/rancher strength...that goes for the gals too.

    Chargemaster drifting weights

It's on a reloading bench that I built. More stable than any of my relationships.

    Chargemaster drifting weights

Got a response form RCBS (aka Bushnell whatever holding company). Basically with a screenshot of the instructions so that was of little help. This is chargemaster is probably 8 years old. I don't use the metal pan. I use a pan with a funnel on the side for ease of dump. Lately I've been using...

Vets refusing to work on hunting dogs

Not an issue from our local vets however they generally aren't taking new clients so unless you're in already good luck getting in for even basic care.

    Chargemaster drifting weights

news to me not arguing but seems like an unnecessarily busy process.

    Chargemaster drifting weights

Are you suggesting zero before each session (which I do as well as calibrate) or after each charge is dispensed? The latter would add a lot of time to the process. Every time you zero, you have to re-enter the charge weight then dispense. If it over/under charges then you double that. I don't...

    Chargemaster drifting weights

That's an easy enough starting place. I can see how that could be an issue especially yesterday when it was warm and windy. Thanks

    Chargemaster drifting weights

Anyone have a fix for a RCBS chargemaster drifting when reloading? Do I need to contact RCBS? I've noticed mine will drift (vary weight up and down) if I don't let it warm up. I have a ferrite choke on the power cord which is supposed to help but yesterday after about 30 loads, I noticed that...

    Interesting 4/20 marketing by Simms

I think as marijuana becomes more socially acceptable, Simms is targeting the younger fisherman that will relate to it and there are a lot of people, like me, that are indifferent to it that aren't really bothered by the ad (honestly Simms gear and recreational weed are too expensive for me)...

    Interesting 4/20 marketing by Simms

Not defending them or supporting them (I think Bud Light is yellow swill that high schoolers and frat boys drink) just saying the leader of the Bud Light cancel culture "uncanceled" them. What happens after that is up to the blue can drinkers You brought it up. Seems only reason to do that was...

    Interesting 4/20 marketing by Simms

    1) it's 2024 and basically legal/decriminalized in many states including Montana where their HQ is 2) many of their customers and fish guides smoke ( big majority of them even conservative ones) 3) it's an ad calm down. there are much worse things to be triggered by

Montana (and other state) hunter orange laws out dated?

Based on the number of people I see in places these days, being visible to other hunters seems like a good idea especially with the number of bumbling idiots out there (such as guys that are glassing with their riflescope not binos). I feel like states that have limit the number of hunters per...

6.5 PRC: Fierce Rogue Carbon 20" vs. Seekins Havak Element 21"

Not sure if it's still a thing (I've written off keeping tabs on them) but Fierce has had some serious QC issues in the past.

6 ARC as a 400+ Yard Hunting Cartridge?

I can squeeze 2600 (ish) out of my 20in Howa and 106TAP though that's at the top end. Suppressed it's like shooting a 22lr and a dream to shoot. I think the 6 ARC to 400 is probably ideal and would be my preferred max for hunting. Mine is almost hideous but fun with a zombie green Boyd's AT-one...

Someone pointed out on another forum that nonresident general tags had an error already with them showing all successful. I wouldn't count your chickens before they hatch...hell at this rate I wouldn't even count the eggs

    Official Montana 2024 Draw Thread

I suspect they pulled the site down to keep traffic off the website while they issue tags and update things. Of course, they'll have to overissue certain draws and ask for voluntarily not hunting. I'm going to guess and say results will be out between 12:45 and 1pm
