Agreed with pretty much all of this. Additionally, I like a nice top pocket that is accessible when the pack is hanging from the tree. I also like a padded waist belt that I can hang my pack at the right height so the belt doubles as a pad for my knees when I sit back and rest.

Sounds like a Sitka stratus would work well. Quiet, packs pretty well, wind blocker, should definitely help bridge the gap before you have to wear the fanatic
What temps are you looking at? Do you have a wind blocking layer already? Are you looking to add warmth without the arm restriction or some other reason? What other layers do you typically wear?
MR pop up 28 for me. Platform and sticks go in meat shelf and are closest to your back and carry much nicer than a non frame pack. Are you trying to take all sticks and platform up the tree in one trip with the platform and sticks in/attached to the pack?

Black ovis merinos have worked well for me but after hearing multiple others here say meriwool is much nicer than the black ovis my next pair will likely be meriwool
Would you say the 2200 fits tripod and spotter along with kill kit, med kit, puffy pant/jacket, mid layer, and glassing pad or do you think the 3600 would be better?
