I'm with you man, but I also live in California so suppressors are fantasy. Tikka's are great, but my PH3 has exceeded my expectations across the board.
Nice, congrats! I'm happy I got the 22". Yes you give up some of the velocity and benefits of 7PRC over 7 rem mag with the 22" over the 26", but it just feels like the perfect size and weight for a mountain gun. Plus, I've been shooting 175gr ELDX at a pretty consistent 2930fps (very suprising...
Honestly, don't let the Hornady sponsored PRC buzz give you too much FOMO. 308 is plenty for big game, especially with good shot placement which the accuracy on this gun allows. Not to mention the fact that you'll have a lot more money for good quality factory ammo, and the 308 is just a more...
Currently have my T3x and my PH3 in front of me. They have a slightly different feel, but equally as butter smooth in their own ways. Tikka has a slightly firmer bolt lock, but a looser feeling bolt tolerance that will run smooth no matter how dirty it gets. I feel like my Tikka will cycle...
I bought a Kuiu and then like a few weeks later they released the new pro version with the magnetic lid and connectors for extra pouches. Kuiu wouldn't let me trade up (not that they had to) so I'm a bit salty about it. But regardless my Kuiu's been good enough.
Ah good point, now you have me uncertain. To be honest, most of my information is 2nd hand and it's possible most of what I was reading pertained to SA. I know there is a spacer installed in some of them that allows the switch between AICS and Seekins mags. It doesn't help that there isn't a ton...
I believe you can use AICS mags, I know the PH2 you could and it doesn't seem like they changed the bottom metal. I'll be able to tell you for sure in a week.
I was being impatient waiting for the PH3's to ship out, and I sent an email to Seekins just to see if they could give a rough estimate of when they were going to start getting sent out. The lady responding to me was the absolute nicest person and gave me the inside scoop on which distributors...
Got to hold mine today for 5 minutes before it went to California jail for 10 days. Thanks @EuroOptic for the quick turnaround, this 22" 7prc woodland was ordered in early April and I was not confident I'd see it until August. Getting the email last week was a nice and unexpected surprise...
Yeah I just realized even if the bill passes the Senate, suppressors would still be considered "Firearms" and regulated as such. Will have to look into it more.
Question on this. Say I live in California, but I hunt in Colorado every year. Some of my fellow hunters live in Colorado. With this passing, could I now purchase one and have my buddy hold onto it for the year until hunting season?
The demand is massive right now. At EuroOptic alone, almost every SKU has hundreds of backorders and there’s like 12+ different rifles/configurations. And EuroOptic is one of like 50+ distributors.
