    Some good tips! As a non-resident living in Canada, pre-scouting is basically out of the question. Makes the first hunt in a new area quite challenging, but also fun.

    How many states do you apply in?

    This year just NM and MT. Waiting to build more points in certain PP states. If I am fortunate enough to draw it would be my first elk hunt. I am well versed in hunting moose, elk will be a new challenge.
