Haha, this money is already burning a hole in my pocket...I would really probably just take the cheap way out with the SWFA 6x, but cant find one...haha
Thanks @sz28 .... depending on where he is at (hopefully not Tucson 😂), I'm good to meet up at Ben Avery or somewhere. I don't think I have PM authority yet, so I'll have to wait for him to respond on here @mxgsfmdpx
Thanks again.
So I think I've narrowed it down to the SWFA 6x, and either Credo 2-10 or Ascent 3-12. I'm gonna swing by Cabela's or Scheels to actually look through them and build an opinion....
Thanks @sz28 ....I've done some F-Class matches at Ben Avery out to 600 and felt pretty good on my rem 700 308 with a 5x25 PST gen 2, so I think I would be comfortable stretching my hunting legs a little on the 7 PRC...but I think I'll work that up slowly, starting <300.
I guess I should...
@mxgsfmdpx Northwest Valley, specifically Glendale.
@Cannonball 👍 How do you like the tenmile..anything you would change on it?
@prm , I'll keep an eye out...note the RC8 was my baby (which I still own), but a lovely non-insured lady totaled it, so I just have the carcass sitting in my shed... 🤐
Thanks! Yea...so the weight is partly because I have this damn Mammoth challenge in the back of my mind and weight = pain is in my mind, but honestly this isn't the gun for that match and I'm not man enough to do that challenge anyway....so maybe it's really not that big of a deal.
As for 300...
How fragile are we talking? Like break from repetitive recoil fragile, or fragile if dropped?
As for @CRJR45 , I Credo was high on my list at one point, but heavier...but I recall reading it was a tank (strong) so that's a plus...
Thanks @mxgsfmdpx ...I'll take a closer look.
I was actually just on their site...did a little reading and looks like people really like this scope for hunting. 20.6oz is a little heavy compared to the 12.5 for the Z3 though...but not off the table...
Great question Nica...let's say 1500... As mentioned, I would like to prioritize weight which has largely ruled out larger magnification (and higher cost) scopes, but I'm open to suggestions...
Hey all.
I'm not sure if the 10-post minimum is a blessing or a curse, but it made me make this post, so I'll make the best of it.
I have a Seekins Element in 7 PRC that I plan on using on Deer/Elk in Az. Since it's a light rifle, if said I wanted to focus on a light optic and think I've...
