Yes, carpet cut to the size of tent minus where the stove is, and yellow top totes under cots. Rechargeable led rope lights. Strings to hang clothes along outer walls.
Lungs have mostly been turned into jelly, or at least severely damaged. Some have been heat/lungs where the heart was unnoticeable. One was a tittle farther back, caught a rib and damaged back half of lung, destroyed liver and caught a little bit of the stomach.
If I hunted more open area I...
Yes it’s preforming well, but we had to spend over an hour looking for two animals this weekend and found them eventually. Part of me wants to agree with you completely. The other part worries we will loose one, one day.
Update on this.
I (my kids and I) Have now taken 12 deer and 4 pigs with 103 ELDX.
All recovered within 80-90 or less. But still only one deer had a blood trail and it was minimal. This last weekend we had a very hard time finding animals due to very thick brush and no blood trail.
I do...
4 of the 10 were hit lower in the chest. Still no blood. Again I’m really happy with the internal damage but am afraid of loosing an animal in some of the really thick stuff I sometimes hunt. Especially being that my kids are the primary ones hunting with the gun. I know 80 yards is not far...
I have a 6mm BR that I am shooting 103eldx bullets out of at 2845fps. I have shot 6 smaller central Texas whitetail (80-150lbs). Along with 4 pigs (60-150lbs). All animals have been inside 200 yards. Most in the 80-140 yard range. Every animal has been recovered and none have gone more than...
My 300wsm has always shot well. It’s been very consistent at a 3/4moa gun out to 800 with 180gr accubonds. It also shot the 200eldx well just haven’t shot them enough. I have around 350-400 rounds through it so far and love it.
I have a ridgline in 300wsm. I did have to send it back when new (chamber too tight). They gave me a shipping label, I shipped it back. I had the gun back in 3 weeks. It’s been great since. I probably have around 300-400 rounds down the barrel. It’s constantly been a .75-1moa gun to 800yard.
Out of me and my hunting buddies we have stone glacier, seek outside, and mystery ranch Out of those the SG, and SO are the more comfortable, although I would not be disappointed if I had to use the MR. I really like how streamlined the SG is and it carries weight very well.
Stone glacier krux farm and their smaller bags puts you right at 4lbs. X curve a few oz more.
SO with just the Merlin is probably going to be the lightest (maybe a kuiu).
Both of these would be able to pack as much meat as you should.
I hate being cold, I went with the first lite Chamberlain and couldn’t be happier. I had a Sitka puffy before it and have used my buddies skre ptarmigan jacket. I like the warmth of the Chamberlan the best. The Skre ptarmigan is pretty close. I have tried on the stone Glacier and think it...
Anyone have any load data on a 6mm BR Norma for the 103gr Hornady eldx and Varget powder?
I have load data for very similar billets but just want to verify before I start loading.
Can I have an Idaho resident pickup/purchase a returned tag for me? I am a non resident.
My buddy lives there and was wondering if this could be done. I could not find it in the Idaho book.
Thanks
I don’t understand why some hunting group doesn’t litigate the crap out of this plain like all the anti groups. It’s time we as Hunter start playing by their games. As crappy as it is, it has worked for them. That plain has enough holes in it to get an injunction to not release wolfs until...
The tikkas can absolutely be added to (trigger, stock…..) and made exactly what you want. But you can do that with just about any rifle. Just depends on what you want. One could get any of the three rifles in this thread and they will probably all shoot and be great rifles.
After having my...
